We’re wrapping up the year with exciting projects underway at Gay and Preston Streets in Broadway East:

✨ NEW MURAL: This vibrant design came out of multiple meetings with the @broadwayeastcommunity and is one of several murals we’ve planned for our East Baltimore revitalization area over the next year.

🌱 NEW GREENSPACE: We’re transforming 25,000 square feet of vacant land into a beautiful new park! This space will improve stormwater management and provide a welcoming area for the community to relax and connect.

🏠 Homes for Sale: Fully restored homes are still available in this revitalized area just north of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

For years, 827 East Chase Street was an abandoned

For years, 827 East Chase Street was an abandoned rowhouse with a collapsed roof, crumbling walls, and a ripple effect of harm to the entire block—leaks, infestations, and declining home values for neighbors. This is the story of thousands of rowhouse blocks across Baltimore.

Today, 827 is fully restored and ready for a new homeowner, thanks to our whole block redevelopment strategy. This is one of 3 houses we restored on this block this summer—and one of 35 we have rebuilt across East Baltimore since Fall 2023.

Restoring abandoned homes doesn’t just transform buildings—it strengthens entire communities, giving residents healthier, safer places to call home.
