Making Moves on Mura Street 🛠️ We’re now i Making Moves on Mura Street 🛠️

We’re now in the thick of transforming these abandoned houses from the inside out! The first phase includes interior demolition, removing failing walls, masonry work to restore structure, and the start of brand-new roof framing.

Each step brings us closer to creating safe, welcoming, and beautiful homes for future residents—and to creating a healthier environment for the residents of this block who have had to live next to these failing buildings for years.

Stay tuned for more updates—there’s so much more to come as the vision takes shape!

Teachers Square just got a little more vibrant! 🎨

Thanks to @jaz_erenberg for partnering with us to transform a Teachers Square wall into a new community artwork, part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate and invest in Johnston Square. With insight and inspiration from Johnston Square residents and community leaders, Jaz turned community conversations into a bold design that celebrates Johnston Square’s past, present, and bright future.

Thanks to @mdartscouncil and @marylandhousing for supporting public art that brightens the block and celebrates the identity and spirit of our communities.

Have you seen the new mural yet? Stop by Teachers Square at 600 East Biddle Street in Johnston Square and experience this community-driven creation for yourself!
